Our staff are highly trained and skilled in providing treatment to young children. Generally less is more with young patients. Our emphasis is on not traumatising or scaring the child, it is better to ignore a small problem with a tooth and gain the child’s trust so that it can be treated later.

If you are concerned with your child’s teeth, or lack of them, crowding or discoloration, we can put your mind at ease. Advanced Orthopantagram Radiography allows us to see your child’s developing dentition even those teeth that are un-erupted. We can then refer your child to qualified specialists if this is indicated.

A relatively new technique known as fissure sealants is helping children and teenagers keep their teeth for life. The chewing surfaces of posterior teeth often have small cracks or fissures that may extend deeply into the surface of the tooth. These are difficult to clean and a very common area for decay in children and young adults.

A fissure sealant is a clear or opaque resin coating which your dentist applies to the chewing surfaces of your child’s teeth, where it seals the fissures preventing ingress of food particles or bacteria.

Dr Yang or Dr Dadbakhsh provide treatment on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays for adolescents from Year 9 to age 18. This Government Funded Scheme is free once your child is enrolled. Not all the advanced treatment we are able to provide is funded ,but certainly for check-ups and basic fillings the scheme helps a lot of people. Feel free to enquire.
